A quiet weekend in.
Well, like I said might happen, I took it easy this weekend to let my wallet prepare itself for the coming weeks. This week was "E3" week, and for those of you not in the know, E3 is a big conference in Santa Monica where the worlds largest games publishers and the big 3 (Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo) gather, to tell you how they will be taking your money from you this "holiday season" (or Christmas as it is known to most). So in honour of that, I played some video games during the weekend, ensuring that my wallet became no lighter (although my tan did suffer). It was a nice change of pace and it allowed me to catch up on some sleep which was great.
There's not long to go now as I'm almost 2/3 of the way through but I have quite a few of my weekends already planned out between now and when I leave, so there should still be some stories yet.

Even the Mighty rested one day in seven. It has been a hectic, action packed experience for you and for us over the last few months, a time that will indelibly mark the rest of your life. No harm to pause and reflect a bit. If you read back over your Blog its is just astonishing the journey you have made from those first faltering steps when looking for a place to stay was what consumed your spare time. From car shows, to parades, to quilts and parachutes, from NY to DC to PA, you have covered quite a bit of ground. That's on only a two day a week basis too: if the other 5 days have taught you as much then you must be bursting with new insights. In all that time, we have waited and watched, enthralled while missing you and, yes, keeping an eye on the sands of time that mark the balance between your time there and time to your return. Have a good week, son. You can squeeze another one in before its US 4, Ireland 2 and the balance tips, for a while at least, in Ireland's favour. Fly Blue today and celebrate Dublin's third Leinster Title in a row. Have a good day.
Ah, I pondered there for a while but then worked out 4 months down and 2 to go. But they have been far from "down". Notched UP more like it! If these past months have brought as much to Andrew as they did to my tea-and-chocolate-biscuits break, then the relative qualitative improvement will be tremendous.
Good Man Andrew - glad to see you occasionally have a weekend like the rest of us! Enjoy the rest - I suspect you will more than make up for it!!
